About Dr Paul Farrant
Dr Paul Farrant graduated with distinction from Guys and St Thomas Medical School in 1999 and decided early in his career to specialise in dermatology. Ten years later, in 2009, he was appointed as a consultant dermatologist at The Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Trust.
Dr Farrant is now a national expert on skin and hair conditions, being a member of the British Association of Dermatologists and a founder of the British Hair and Nail Society. He has contributed to many texts, journals, and research publications, and is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and the European Hair Research Society.
Alongside his private practice, Dr Farrant runs a regional hair loss department with Dr Gupta, and has set up our newest dedicated skin and hair clinic on Matlock Road in Brighton, equipped with the ATBM Fotofinder, the Tricholab studio, and treatments including Tricopat, Platelet Rich Plasma, and minor surgery.
Outside of work, Dr Farrant's main hobbies are cycling (road, gravel, bike-packing) and tennis.
